He was married to Mary R. Callen before he has married to Sarah Campbell. Children by that marriage: James who was born 24 Sept 1847, Anna Melissa (married a Green Cornelius in Alfred, NY) and Arthur.

I don't have any memories of him [Milo Moland Sr.] talking about his parents. One day I asked him about his father. I understood him to say that his father would not talk about his family but one day he saw someone coming over the hill (pasture) and his father said it was his twin David.

Daniel and Sarah joined the Alfred Seventh Day Baptist Church in 1872.

According to Daniel's obit, ("Alfred Sun", Feb. 22, 1894, page 3) he was born on Feb. 9, 1824, but both his death certificate and the Alfred First Seventh Day Baptist, Alfred, Allegany Co., NY, records him as having died on his birth date of Feb. 19th.
Also learned from his obit:
1) Date of marriage to his first wife, Mary R. Callen, Dec. 4, 1845.
2) Baptized when he was 26 (1850) but didn't join the church until 1872
